Why do citizens continue to believe in democracy while increasingly distrusting its institutions? Drawing on the MeDeMAP European Study, Giulia Ferri explores the contradictions at the heart of democratic participation today.
Giulia Ferri (IULM University, Milan)
Giulia Ferri is a PhD Candidate at IULM University (Milan). Also, she was a MeDeMAP Research Fellow, a Research Assistant on projects about technological advancements in journalism at the Institute of Media and Journalism of Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI), and a Teaching Assistant for courses on journalism, datafication, and digital cultures. She also collaborates with the European Journalism Observatory as an editor and an author.
