Seminar On The Czech Citizen Parliament: Analysing Media Change, Participation, and Democracy

As part of the Culture and Communication Research Centre (CULCORC) Seminar Series, the discussion seminar entitled “The Czech Citizen Parliament: Analysing Media Change, Participation, and Democracy” will take place on Wednesday, 28 January, at 3:00 p.m.

In this event, the Czech Citizen Parliament will be examined as an illustrative case, through which the broader dynamics of contemporary democratic practices can be explored. The speakers will discuss how shifting media environments shape possibilities for civic expression and how democratic cultures evolve when citizens, technologies, and institutions interact in new and innovative ways. Drawing on findings from the European MeDeMAP research project, the speakers will reflect on the value and challenges of such participatory models in contemporary democracies.
